small family farming
Small family farming is not only about planting gardens but is also about caring for animals, your pastures, fences, irrigation, infrastructure and interacting with your community. You become a vital part of your community when you garden and farm with a purpose to sustain your family.
Family Tree Ministries is dedicated to teaching self-sufficiency and the skills that can help you develop your own "farmstead", no matter the size. We strive to provide outdoor education and small family farming education and the important and necessary encouragement for spiritual growth with thankfulness to the Lord!. We have videos and books available on Amazon (Search Nancy Moral).
Gardening for food is not hard to do. You can never grow too much food because you can always feed the excess to animals.
Small animals, such as chickens, goats and sheep are suited for a small family farm to have meat, milk and eggs.
Farming involves interacting closely with the community to buy necessities, barter and share what you grow and raise.
