You can teach content to your children more effectively by choosing strategies that fit your family's learning style. Good strategies start with a good schedule, a well-chosen curricula and using guides and charts to organize, plan and manage progress. Be disciplined but don't be afraid of change!

Goal setting is a good skill for students to learn. Here are goal charts for K-8th grade and high school students that students can use to set their own daily academic goals. They would set their goals one day ahead at a time, and parents would review their choices. Parents can also track progress on a parent goal chart.

To calculate the percentage score for a traditional assignment count the number of correct answers and divide by the total number of questions in the assignment. For examaple 8 out of 10 would be 8/10 or .80 or 80 percent which is a B.
