"Benchmarks" are outlines of content expected to be learned at each grade level. The following "Academic Benchmarks" and "Course Descriptions" are adopted by the state of Florida. Private curricula publishers cite their own benchmarks which usually allign closely with the state's benchmarks though they may not include everything the state may put forth.
Benchmarks presented by private publishers are built into each publisher's curricula. These benchmarks are found in outlines or Scope and Sequence Charts and are summarized as Goals and Objectives in text books, cd roms, online and tutoring materials, workbooks, work experience and certificate programs.
